As we continue the plans to extend BART Silicon Valley from Berryessa in North San Jose, through Downtown and into Santa Clara, with four more stations, VTA will hold an industry forum on Tuesday, February 11 from 8:30 to noon at the San Jose Doubletree Hotel. This informational forum will provide an overview on the project, information on construction contracts, procurement opportunities, project timeline and more.

Firms with expertise in heavy civil construction, tunneling, track and systems, building demolition, utility relocations and more are encouraged to register.

Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity for Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) to meet the Prime contractors and learn about opportunities to participate in project delivery.  VTA encourages subprime, SBE and DBE firms to participate. For  more information on VTA's Business Diversity Program, call 408-321-5962.  Or visit our website: https://www.vta.org/business-center/business-diversity-programs

VTA’s BART Phase II Project is a six-mile extension of BART service into Santa Clara County, featuring five miles of innovative single-bore subway, four stations, and the creation of transit-oriented communities at each future station area. The project will greatly improve regional connectivity and is estimated to carry 52,000 riders to destinations throughout the Bay Area by 2035.  One of the most innovative features of VTA’s BART Phase II Project will be the single-bore tunnel that holds the trackways and passenger boarding platforms.

Register here to participate in the forum.

Vendors are also encouraged to register with VTA, which is a requirement to receive RFQ and RFP solicitation information.

Vendor Registration can be accessed here.
