VTA’s Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) considers and advocates for smart, well-thought-out transportation policies and initiatives. The committee then advises the full VTA Board of Directors on those issues as the Board works to shape the future of public transportation in Santa Clara Valley.

CAC is made up of everyday people, interested in improving our community and our mobility options. There are currently several openings on the committee, and we encourage interested individuals to apply for membership.

The Committee also serves as the ballot-defined independent Citizens Watchdog Committee (CWC) for the 2000 Measure A Transit Sales Tax. That means

Be a voice for the future of public transportation in Silicon Valley. You can represent stakeholder groups from either Community & Societal Interests  or Business & Labor.

The Committee generally meets on the Wednesday following the first Thursday of each month.
