From rising sea levels to extreme heat – the impacts of climate change can be scary, but failing to act is even scarier. Join VTA this month, in-person or virtually, to learn about our upcoming Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP).
On October 18, VTA will be at San Jose State University’s Climate and Sustainability Fair. Community members are invited to stop by the VTA booth from 10 am to 1 pm to talk about climate change and transportation. Add your ideas to the climate change canvas and let us know what more you think VTA can do to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
We’re also holding a virtual workshop on Tuesday, October 25. This interactive meeting will take place on Zoom. Please RSVP on Eventbrite to let us know you’ll be there.
Tuesday, October 25
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Workshop participants can share ideas and engage with VTA staff about climate action planning, including how to minimize contributions to climate change and increase resiliency of transportation infrastructure for the future.
The CAAP is funded by a Caltrans Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant. For more information, please visit our project page at www.vta.org/climateplan.
