Learn About Plans for the Curtner Station Park and Ride Lot
09/07/2021

Transforming the Curtner Station Park & Ride lot into a livable, walkable, shoppable community close to transit is the objective of one of VTA's latest transit-oriented development projects.

Join us September 9, 2021 at 6 pm for an online community meeting to meet the developer of this project, and offer your input.  Participants will have opportunities to provide their input on the developer’s proposal, discuss station access, and station area enhancements and ask questions.

The proposed development is a 4-acre site owned by VTA. The developer partners, Bayview Development Group and Civil & Building North America Inc., are proposing a mixed-use development that could provide medical offices, market rate and affordable housing, and retail space.

The Curtner Station Park & Ride lot is located along SR-87 and Curtner Avenue in San Jose and currently serves as a Park & Ride Lot for Light Rail and Bus passengers. The Curtner Station is currently served by VTA’s Blue Line and bus line 26. There will be parking for VTA bus and light rail passengers, and there is a proposed parking garage for the project.

VTA’s Transit Oriented Development Program works with municipal and private partners to encourage the development of housing, retail, and employment centers in places that will help increase transit ridership and contribute to a vibrant community.

During the community meeting, VTA and the developer staff will provide information on the proposal and then facilitate breakout rooms where you can discuss station access and share your ideas to help shape the project. We value your participation and encourage you to attend  this meeting.
