Here’s another chance to get answers to your transit questions from a host of VTA subject matter experts. Our second “Ask VTA: Virtual Office Hours” will happen Thursday, January 19 from 6 pm – 7 pm. (Register via Eventbrite).
The idea is to provide a deeper understanding of VTA’s programs and initiatives. This facilitated question and answer session between staff subject matter experts and the public encourages conversations about public transit, transportation and other VTA programs. It provides an opportunity to learn more about two long range planning initiatives: the Visionary Network and Valley Transportation Plan 2050.
The first event of its kind was held on November 29, 2022, with a strong reception. Some of the topics/questions then included: How does VTA use contingency/scenario planning to adjust service plans based on project funding? Is VTA trying to synchronize the departure of the express 500 from Berryessa BART with the arrival of the train? How much funding is VTA planning to provide for bike/ped as part of VTP?
Join us Thursday, January 19 at 6 pm to get your questions answered and learn more about VTA’s work to develop the two long-range transportation planning efforts that will shape how we move around Santa Clara County in future decades. Those with interest in the Visionary Network are welcome to provide feedback about preferred transit service characteristics in a current survey.
We will hold monthly events of this kind starting later this spring, focusing on specific topics.
