Along with a new transit service plan come thousands of new bus stop signs. A team of VTA staff have been designing, printing, sorting the new signs since last January. In the coming weeks they’ll dismantle the old ones and install more than 4,000 new bus stop signs throughout Santa Clara County, to make sure our passengers have the right information when our new transit service plans takes effect December 28th.
Until then, current transit information will be displayed on temporary covers made of laminated paper. The night before new transit service begins, more than 100 VTA crews will traverse the county to remove the laminated covers in time for morning bus service December 28th.
Keep an eye out for new bus stop signs coming to a stop near you! And if you have any questions, please call Customer Service at 408-321-2300.
