In an effort to rehabilitate our aging infrastructure, VTA will continue to schedule repairs through the fall to trouble spots on the light rail system that cause our service to run at a slower pace or where equipment has reached the end of its useful life.

Like any decades-old infrastructure, upkeep and maintenance are critical. Since this past spring, VTA has been performing ongoing extensive work to keep VTA’s light rail system in a state of good repair.

Light rail service in the areas impacted by this necessary construction will be replaced by bus service or a “bus bridge” to ensure passengers can still travel to their destinations.

Below is a tentative schedule of upcoming transit impacts. Details are subject to change.
