Do you have ideas on how to make it easier and more enjoyable to get to the Capitol and Branham Light Rail Stations and around the neighborhood? Whether you walk, bike, take transit, or drive (or do any combination), we want to hear from you!
Fill out the Capitol and Branham Station Access Study Survey and tell us how you use the stations and what improvements you would like to see in the future. This will take 5-10 minutes. The survey will be open until February 28th. It is available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Tagalog, and Korean.
The survey includes questions like …
- How do you use VTA’s Capitol and Branham stations?
- Do you walk, ride your bike, park your car and take transit?
- What challenges do you encounter in accessing these stations?
- How could access to the stations be improved?
Some Background
Last fall, VTA held a community meeting providing an update on the Capitol Station Transit-Oriented Development Project. An element of both the Capitol and Branham Transit-Oriented Development projects is the joint Station Access Study, which launched with a few pop-up community events in January 2023. The in-person outreach provided an opportunity for staff to meet one-on-one with members of the community. Staff received feedback regarding traffic and safety concerns, station accessibility, and desired improvements for the station and development area.
Further Dialogue
We want to make sure we reach as many people as possible that use and/or live near the Branham and Capitol Stations. Your participation in this survey will help us prioritize the community and VTA customer values on proposed improvements to bicycle and pedestrian access, lighting, and signage.
