Thanksgiving is just around the corner, which means holiday transit service changes in the South Bay. Online schedules reflect standard Sunday/Holiday service, but there are also a few additional adjustments riders should know about before hitting the streets.
Thursday, November 25 (Thanksgiving Day)
VTA will operate a Sunday/Holiday schedule. If your route does not operate on Sundays, it will not be in service. Check here.
In addition, Route 500 will operate extended early morning service beginning at 5:30 a.m. and late evening service will end at 2:00 a.m. to accommodate BART's Saturday schedule on Thanksgiving Day.
VTA offices will be closed in observance of the holiday.
Friday, November 26 (Day After Thanksgiving)
VTA will operate a modified weekday schedule. All bus routes and light rail lines will provide regular weekday service, with the exception of Express routes.
VTA Express routes 101, 102, 103, and 104 will not operate on Friday, November 26.
The River Oaks Administration Office will be closed, but the Downtown Customer Service Center will be open during normal business hours, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
All service changes for the holiday will be reflected in real time transit information providers, including the Transit App. We hope you have an enjoyable holiday!
