It's the first home game of the regular season, and the San Francisco 49ers are looking for that third win as they face off against the New York Giants at Levi's Stadium during Thursday night's football game on September 21st. Kickoff is set for 5:15 p.m. As always, eventgoers are encouraged to take public transit.
Expect crowded trains on your way to the Stadium as both commuters and game-goers will be riding during peak commute hours.
After the game, we encourage customers to make their way to their return stop location as soon as possible. Post-game service for bus will run up to one hour after the game ends. Light rail post-game service will run until the queues are cleared to a level that can be handled by regular service. The Lick Mill and Old Ironsides Stations will be closed for 60 minutes after the end of the game, so boarding will be at the Great America Light Rail station only.
For riders connecting to BART, the last northbound train departs from Milpitas Station at 11:52 p.m. Those connecting to Caltrain can catch their last northbound train from Mountain View Station at 11:33 p.m.
If you plan to drive to the Milpitas Transit Center and take light rail to the game, we recommend paying in advance for parking permits online or on your smartphone with the Passport app (for daily permits only). The Passport app is available on the App store and Google Play store. This will help you avoid long lines at the parking kiosks. You can find more info on parking at Silicon Valley BART stations here.
Be sure to download Clipper to your mobile wallet for easy fare payment and use Transit app for stress-free trip planning. Both apps are available on the App store or Google Play store. This will make paying for your trip on light rail or bus seamless.
