School’s out for the summer and Viva CalleSJ is the perfect way to celebrate!
Viva CalleSJ’s “Parks to Roses” is happening on Sunday, June 12th. Enjoy a gorgeous day outside as you bike, skate, walk, and play. The event offers nearly six miles of car-free open roads, connecting the community and San Jose in a fresh and exciting way.
The route runs from Backesto Park to the Rose Garden, passing through Japantown and Arena Green. Stop by any of the three activity hubs along the route for food, live music, vendors, and bike parking. Make sure to visit the VTA booth at the Arena Green Activity Hub for information about the Summer Youth Pass and learn how to load your bike onto a VTA bus!
Follow the event on Instagram or Facebook, or visit vivacallesj.org for the latest information, including street closures and bus line re-routing.
The festivities start at 10 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m. You can start anywhere along the route and head in either direction to enjoy the neighborhood without worrying about motor vehicle traffic.
