During the stay-at-home order effective December 6th at 10 p.m., transit remains an essential service, and light rail, bus, and paratransit will continue to operate for essential trips.

While on or waiting for transit, you must wear a mask and stay six-feet apart from others. If you are feeling sick, stay home. Download the Transit app for real-time crowding information to see if your next bus is at capacity. VTA also offers limited masks and hand-sanitizer on board for your safety. 

Restrictions on travel and gatherings outside of your immediate household are believed to slow the surge and prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed. Please stay home for the sake of others who cannot. 

The stay-at-home order is effective until January 4, 2021.
