With two big road wins under their belts, the 49er’s take on the Green Bay Packers in their first home game of the new season this Sunday, September 26, and VTA light rail is ready to take you there.
The entire VTA light rail system is now up and running – Green Line, Blue Line, and Orange Line. And because light rail service is free through September 30, the ride for this game is free.
Service every 15 minutes will begin 2 hours before the start of the game (kickoff is 5:20 p.m.) from Mountain View Transit Center, Milpitas Transit Center, and the Convention Center light rail station in downtown San Jose. From Santa Teresa on the Blue Line, and from Winchester, on the Green Line, service will run every 30 minutes. Light rail post-event service will run up to one hour past the end of the game.
PLEASE NOTE: If you plan to take BART from the East Bay to the Milpitas Transit Center, the last BART train back will leave at 9:15 p.m. Please plan to be at the light rail platform outside the stadium by 8:30 p.m. to get to your BART train on time…even if the game goes into overtime.
If you plan to park at the Milpitas Transit Center and take light rail to the game, we recommend paying in advance for parking permits online at www.vta.org/payparking or on your smartphone with the Passport app (for daily permits only). The Passport app is available on the App store and Google Play store. This will help you avoid long lines at the parking kiosks. You can find more info on parking at Silicon Valley BART stations here.
Remember, masks are required on all VTA transit vehicles. Go Niners!
