The following will be in effect as indicated, weather and conditions permitting:
July 18, 2022:
- WHAT: Bike and pedestrian traffic will begin using the new Bicycle/Pedestrian path (as marked in green on the map above) to increase safety in the work zone during the final construction phases of the US 101/Blossom Hill Road Interchange Improvement Project.
- WHERE: The new Bicycle/Pedestrian path stretches from Xander’s Crossing at Monterey Road to Coyote Creek trail off Blossom Hill Road in San Jose.
- WHEN: Bike and pedestrian traffic will switch over to the new Bicycle/Pedestrian path beginning July 18, 2022.
July 21-22, 2022
- WHAT: Contractors will begin to remove all K-rails related to the project.
- WHERE: K-rail removal will take place between US 101/Blossom Hill Road interchange to Xander’s Crossing at Monterey Road.
- WHEN: Thursday & Friday, July 21-22 between 7:00 AM-4:00 PM.
- WHAT TO EXPECT: Activities include and are not limited to: Noise construction equipment and truck/backup alarms.
- LANE CLOSURES & DETOUR: Temporary lane closures will take place 7:00 AM-4:00 PM. Closures will take place along Blossom Hill Road & the US 101 on-ramp off westbound Blossom Hill Road.
July 25-29, 2022
- WHAT: Contractors will begin final repaving the project area.
- WHERE: Final repaving will take place between US 101/Blossom Hill Road interchange to Xander’s Crossing at Monterey Road.
- WHEN: Monday-Friday, July 25-29 between 7:00 AM-4:00 PM.
- WHAT TO EXPECT: Activities include and are not limited to: Noise construction equipment and truck/backup alarms.
- LANE CLOSURES & DETOUR: Temporary lane closures will take place 7:00 AM-4:00 PM. Closures will take place along Blossom Hill Road & the US 101 on-ramp off westbound Blossom Hill Road.
NOTES: For the safety of the public and construction workers, traffic control measures will be used when needed. Information and warning signs will be posted to ensure safety. Construction crews will make every effort to minimize inconvenience to motorists, bicyclists, pedestrians, businesses, and neighbors.
