Your Transit Security Advisory Committee (TSAC) Application Has Been Received

Thank you for your interest in VTA’s Transit Security Advisory Committee (TSAC). We are looking for individuals who regularly ride VTA’s system and who are committed to ensuring that VTA follows smart practices for providing a service by which its customers feel safe. Advisory Committee members should bring relevant knowledge and expertise as residents, advocates for social justice and/or public safety reform, law enforcement experts, youth & mental health providers or experts, and/or social services providers or experts. The committee will help facilitate the implementation of California Assembly Bill 1735 (AB1735), which amended Sections 99171 and 99172 of the Public Utilities Code relating to transit districts to establish and enforce prohibition orders for violations of transit customer codes of conduct.    Please note that members serving on the TSAC are not required to be U.S. citizens.
