Objectives
The purpose of this project is to:
- Relieve congestion and improve traffic operations on the freeways and local roadways
- Reduce cut through traffic in the Town of Los Gatos;
- Improve bicycle and pedestrian facilities and connectivity; and
- Support interfacing with multi-modal congestion relief solutions.
Project Features
The proposed improvements may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Modify on- and off-ramps at the State Route 17/ State Route 9 interchange.
- Modify State Route 17 mainline lanes and shoulder to eliminate lane-drops and bottlenecks from Lark Avenue to State Route 17/ State Route 9 interchange.
- Implement and/or interface with advanced transportation technology solutions such as advanced traffic signal control systems being implemented by the Town, advanced traveler information systems, advanced ramp metering systems and web-based applications.
- Implement complete streets consistent features to improve bicyclist and pedestrian travel.
Public Scoping Meeting
