Zero Emission Bus Program

VTA’s Zero-Emission Bus Blueprint is VTA’s plan for transitioning from a hybrid-diesel bus fleet to a fully zero-emission fleet. The Blueprint identifies a technology strategy for a mixed hydrogen fuel cell bus and battery-electric bus fleet that best suits VTA’s service model and provides resiliency.  It also identifies specific projects, prioritizes their implementation, develops depot layouts, cost estimates, an energy strategy and funding strategy.  It’s intended to be flexible, allowing VTA to make progress as funding and technology allows.
